| BestBuy Ownage |
Well, more or less I just got done with the camping at BestBuy. I was the second one in line, woohoo! I got there around 8PM. It was freezing outside, apparently it got down to 24 degrees Fahrenheit.
Anywho, this is my booty:
$399 - Amd Athlon 64 3200+, 512MB PC3200 Dual channel ram, 160GB hard drive, DVD+/-RW Dual Layer Multiformat drive, ATI Radeon Xpress 200 with 15" LCD Monitor
$29 - Nvidia Geforce MX 4000 (went into the above computer)
$150 - 17" MAG LCD monitor, 16ms
$35 - Laptop bag
$3 - 25 CDR/75 DVDR media
$150 - Intel Celeron D thing. Im not sure on the specs. All I know is it has a monitor and a dvd burner. :P I just grabbed it because it was cheap.
$50 - Some MP3 player ... 512MB ram .. made by Sandisk.
I think thats all.
Edit, no, thats not all. I forgot the two 4.5" portable DVD players we got for $99 |

| Exploitation at its finest |
We finally are getting things going with our wargames at binrev. digitalgalileo has set up a box for us to play on, and I assume more are to come.
Exvitel was the first to gain root on digitalgalileo's box. |

| Anti-Anti-Virus |
Apparently anti virus programs are now useless. This guy has basically prepended files and no antivirus can read it. Should be quite useful me thinks. Anyway, here is a link, http://www.securityelf.org/magicbyte.html
I'm beginning to crave security now, I'm not sure why. I've taken it upon myself to create several encryption/compression schemes for personal use. I'll put all the information on my site later when its all done. I hope to integrate this stuff into current open source applications (for example, gaim).
Stay tuned! |
