| Just Keeping Up |
I'm going to try and post as often as possible (read: when I remember). Not too much is going on, still finishing up some code for a client. Redoing my Riscit Productions website as well. That'll go live in a day or so.
Again, I can't pimp this software enough, Notepad++. I'm desperately trying to figure out how I lived without it!!!! I need to donate to the developers.
Is anyone interested in some video tutorials? Perhaps one on building a cantenna? |

| Great Code Editor |
Recently, I've been doing a lot of PHP/SQL code under Windows and I was getting restless with using Notepad. Someone mentioned Notepad++ to me to try out. Not only can you have tabs of open documents, it has syntax highlighting for TONS UPON TONS of languages, and you can add your own in if you so wished.
If you do any coding under Notepad/Wordpad you must check this app out, it will really speed up your development time.

| SALVATION!!! |
Finally got my C card for scuba diving. Just came in today, so I ran to town to get it. That was really the only thing I needed from Joplin so I am free to move now! woohoo
I've been doing some site work for someone and the thing is almost done. I'll have to count the number of lines of code, but it's quite a few now. The site, he just told me tonight, is suppose to go live tomorrow, so I have to pull an all nighter to get this done. :( Oh well, that's life I guess.
I'm still waiting on my goodies from ebay to get here, should be interesting. I'm probably going to order some wifi equipment as well on Wednesday to have some fun with. :) |

| RootRadio update |
I've been working on the website for the past day or so and its coming along greatly as you can see.
I'm also using my dictator position to put a halt on the show until I move. There were a few reasons for this. First and biggest reason, I don't have broadband. That's really the main one and you can see why. Secondly, neither rikka nor citan have mics to do the show. If they did, they could just do it without me, that'd be no problem. Tertiary, the site is not done yet. I mean, come on, look at it. It's not that great yet, and we're still looking for more shows to stick up there as well.
Just hang in there and we will be back on the air in less than a month. I know you all miss us!Labels: rootradio |

| Ass-book |
Brought back my facebook account for some of that good 'old social networking.
In the five months I've been gone, they have taken a turn for the worse. The UI has gotten incredibly worthless. And let us not get started on functionality.
Anywhos, I've got my account back. I'll start sending spam with it until they decide to boot me off. If your on my friends list, you've already gotten one piece of spam :P

| Sunburn-ness |
Day two of the scuba trip was short. We did a final dive around looking for the wreckage that is down there but since the water was so high this year, we couldn't find it.
My C card will be in 'bout Thursday so thats cool :) And then I will head out to Savannah.
Not much else is going on really. Got a new video camera, this little JVC thing that has a 30GB hard drive on it. I'm still looking at getting a Sony or Canon HD cam though. These consumer cameras just don't cut it for me. Also looking at getting a digital camera too, looking at the Nikons instead of my first thoughts of a Canon.

Lake water is no fun. :(
You can't literally see one foot in front of you from all the dirt. And its cold. Really cold.
Well, up to 20 feet its ok. After 20-25 feet down, its freezing. |

| Linux Advances |
Dell has now decided to it will preinstall the Ubuntu operating system now. Ubuntu's parent company, Canonical, will also provide support for the Linux distribution.
And in other news, a homeless man started a fire that knocked Internet2 offline between New York and Boston. :P |
